I just received a text message from phone number 310 795 3510 stating the my entry last month won. And it gave me a web address, which I will not repeat here because I don't want anyone to click on it. It also gave me a four digit claim code that supposedly would me to claim a Free $1,000 giftcard.
First I did not remember putting in an entry, and the whole thing sounded too good to be true.
So I Googled Bestbuy text 1000 Giftcard. The Bestbuy Geek Squad forum had entries that explain the whole scam. http://forums.bestbuy.com/t5/Best-Buy-Geek-Squad-Policies/1000-gift-card-text-message/td-p/458731
I thought it would be a good idea to put the word out, because I am sure that this scam has caused others problems.
